Greetings, Sorry I've been late on this. I have some great developments that have happened in the past few weeks. I will discuss later on the show but in the meantime I have new music from DJ Da, Art Of Tones & Comfort Fit along with some classics from...

The last monthly report for December includes some favorite tunes during the decade that really got a lot of play. The artist that produced these tracks speak for themselves. Enjoy the music...

A low bpm mix of the finest kind. Deepcore member Mike Bishop is at it again, his previous mix for DR was excellent but this one is really something special and unique.
Posted December 8, 2009
I assumed that I did two monthly shows for November when I actually did one for October and for November. Top that with the Year End review and the holidays and you get a late monthly report! Yay better late than never LOL!!! Anyways this report features tunes from Roland Appel, Steve Rachmad, iO, Dominik Eulberg & many more. Don't worry the monthly show for December is still forthcoming, but in the meantime enjoy the music...

Another excellent mix by one of the most interesting talents on the current deep house scene, Deymare. This mix, again, is just so good I won't even bother trying to come up with a comprehensive set of superlatives. Smooth & jazzy with a twist - what makes me happy is the fact that there's still a lot of quality house music out there and people like Deymare keeping it alive. Timeless mix, make sure you leave feedback if you dig it as much as I do!

This month's report kicks with a lovely remix that was recommended to me by loyal listener Sibonelu in the SA. Thanks for the heads up. More music from Soulphiction, Guillaume and Adam Port & Gigi. Solomun does his signature emotional deep house from his debut LP "Dance Baby" on Diynamic.
Posted September 27, 2009
This monthly report is all about Diynamic founded by Solomun & Adriano Trolio. I have some of my favorite cuts that were in previous year end reviews and some that could be played on this years show. I want to personally thank them for their constant support. So enjoy the sound of Hamburg for the month. More label spotlights to come on future shows.

I'm happy to present an excellent mix by Belgium's finest, Pat Lezizmo. Chekc out his weekly show, 2Chill, on SpitsFM. Pat takes us for a spin (no pun intended) with his mix, a 1hr 32min set of modern deep house with a classy touch and some very, very skillful mixing. Deep house connoisseurs should not sleep on this...

This week's monthly show features new music from Sebastian Davidson, Dj Honesty & Pepe Bradock. This also has a little Chicago Jack vibe to it. Ron Trent does a little tribute to Ron Hardy, Two Armadillos does a remix as a tribute to Trax records & an unreleased tune from legend Ron Hardy. Jay Tripwire appears again with another tune from a his 8 Channels Project. So by all means enjoy the music...

Music that heals the soul and fills the heart. That's how Chris Gray has described the agenda for his legendary Deep4Life label. This label, and Chris' productions, have shaped and continue to shape the landscape of deep house. The man's responsible for countless deep house classics, and it's a real honour and a great pleasure to offer a summery mix from him and Walter Chiu to you, our listeners.

3rd time's the charm! Estimulo's monstrous 2hr and 20min guest mix is accompanied by a little interview. What a ride, the essence of this mix is longetivity. I know I'll be coming back to this mix for, yes, years to come. "This session represents my vision of the deep summit and the people surrounding it as i see it today."
Posted July 26, 2009
I'm so pleased to present this mix to our listeners. A long time coming, but if you ask a busy perfectionist for a mix you need to be prepared to wait. And while 4 years is quite a log time, it sure was worth it. A mix made using only digital releases by a man who is an avid vinyl collector is something special as a curiosity, but the real message here is that medium should not matter at all. It's the music that tells the story.

Tons of music on this show gearing up for the new weekly on coming soon! DJ Koze does a nice remix of Blagger to kick off the show. New music from Nebraska, Ezel & Pepe Bradock. Funky tunes by Alton Miller, a reworked Arthur Russell track and superb remix of Rhythm & Sound. Enjoy the music!" -Henderick

"Time to get back to work! New music from albums of Black Jazz Consortium, Shinedoe & Sasse (remix album). New music from Helsinki's finest Lil Tony, deepness from Reggie Dokes and a nice collaboration by Shlomi Aber & Kenny Larkin. Nothing but quality!!! Nuff said!!!"

'Deep Reflections', mixed live using all vinyl, is just what the title suggests. A lovingly crafted mix showcasing Victor Aguinaga's talent in creating moods with long blends and a few surprises here and there. It's a cliche to say that it's a soulful mix, but hell, here the word actually means the real deal! Take a listen and I'm sure you'll agree, this mix is a real gem. Spread the word, deep house is alive and well!

“Truetek...a journey through the sounds of some raw, deep techno.
I picked up most of these records in a little shop in Offenbach, Deuchland the last time I was in Europe. To me this shop was a glimmer of hope in that original, underground music still has a place and enough listeners to maintain support...” - Brad

Guest mix #30 is mixed Petar Cvetkovic, a member of 3 man Serbian deep house outfit Dirty Cover. Petar's selection is a well-crafted take on the modern deep house sound, with plenty of DR favorites (shout out to Andre and Night Drive Music!) thrown in the mix. The group's got plenty of releases coming out this year, so keep your ears open!

"New music from Tom Trago, Scott Grooves and Dennis Ferrer. Arto Mwambe appears on the show again with nice soulful house remix of Manuel Tur on a Larry Heard tip. Very sick tunes from Andre Lodemann & Dennis Ferrer. The wierdest tune comes from Blinded Mind and Ame returns on Innervision. Can't wait to see them in Chicago. Enjoy the music..." - Henderick aka Thelonious Funk

"This show is a nice example of what we DJs call "The Zone". Show kicks off with a breath taking remix of UNKLE by Carl Craig. Amazing music from Culoe De Song that is sure to cause pure mayhem. Tune in to hear the rest... "

Deymare's been on the case for quite a few years and his experience shines through. Combine that with a classy, sophisticated and laid back production style ala late 90's Straight Up Recordings (which I happen to have a deep affection for) and you have a winner. This mix's whole vibe is just soooo spot on, the track selection is pure class and that blend with Fish Go Deep played over Juan Solar for good 3 minutes just puts an icing on the cake. Don't sleep on this one!"

"Hope you are all well, got another good one for the month! Two new remixes from Henrik Schwarz. Very cool remix of Ray Charles by Quentin Harris. Another new cut from dOP and new Omar S on Sound Signature + a nice little remix done by Reelsoul & Mr V."

Mike Bishop delivers a blend of new and old, a beautifully crafted mix that is a definition of deep house as we see it on deeprhythms. Mike's a regular on the Estimuloshow, so catch him live every second saturday of the month!

"This Month's Report is surely worth the wait! I have two superb tunes that involve Henrik Schwarz. One of the forefathers of fidget Jesse Rose comes correct with a sick tune on his Dubsided label. I really am impressed with Nick Holder's black jazz projects. Nina Simone get's remixed by Casamena. Israeli duo Yotam Avni is sure to be a group that will be in such high demand!"

TimDeep's been a regular on the Deeprhythms message board for quite while. Tim's sound is versatile, as you can hear on the mix he made exclusively for us: "This guestmix The Arrival is a reflection of the year 1997 when i discovered the deeper side of house music."
Posted January 22, 2009
Here we go,a hot show from Henderick again. Deep, raw and heavy set of tunes. "For the first show of the year I bring some older cuts like slope's remix of Forss (but accordind to Timo's reaction to this tune, it may be new to u), new music from DJ Koze, Nima Gorji, Butch & the legendary Moodymann.

Soothing, relaxing and mesmerizing are the best adjectives to describe this mix. A Good blend of dubbier tracks fused with lo-fi sounds - house music at its finest. Francesco's been a regular on DR probably from the beginning. I'm honoured to post his mix here.

Last "Monthly Report" of 2008 is a real treat for the festive season! Includes an unreleased Jackmate remix of dOP's "I'm just a man", Moodyman's take on Sacha Dive's "Deeper America" and another stunning dOP track called "Stock Option". Give the man a shout and he just might give you a shout back in the next show!

Our latest guest mix is a re-broadcast of DJ Peavey's My Deep House Forever radio show. Peavey currently works for Peppermint Jam Records and the busy man can be seen spinning records around the globe this year. A slightly more vocal heavy mix this time.

Ørjan never ceases to amaze me. I thought his previous guest mix, Rift Zones, was a true classic and now he does it again.
Posted February 7, 2008
It was 5 and half years ago since we last featured Brad as a guest dj on DR and yes, this mix was most definetly worth the wait. A beautiful excursion into detroit style deepness.

He's back - Estimulo was kind enough to record an exclusive mix for us. And what a great selection of timeless soulful house tracks it is, a perfect mix to round up the year. Happy new year!

Many of you know Matthew through his excellent label Limestone Recordings, a label that is deeply rooted in jazz, soul, and dub, while based on the foundation of house. You could describe the mix he recorded for us in the same way.
Posted June 13, 2007
And we're back with another fine guest mix - this time by Finn Johannsen, familiar to those who frequently visit discogs and it's board. I asked Finn for a mix and what a treat he provided us with! It's not house - just great, great music, perfect for the summer, brings back a lot of memories.
Posted January 28, 2007
The basic theme: melancholic, moody music. Deep dance music just doesn't get any better than this and combined with all the love and care Ørjan put into crafting this it's hardly surprising that some call it a “masterpiece”

I got to know Tom Larson's work through Night Drive Music's podcasts, listened to his sets on his site and was impressed. So, when his mix cd dropped into my mailbox it was easy to say "yes" and publish it here. This mix is, in lack of better terms, deep and moving. Beautiful music.

Another fine product from Italy - this time it's Mitch's turn to provide us a blend of the finest deep cuts from his record bag & his powerbook's hd. Mitch is a busy man - besides various dj activities he still manages to find the time & energy to run a netlabel & various websites.
Posted October 2, 2006
Night Drive Music boss André Kroenert made this exclusive mix for us consisting of material released through various netlabels he runs. And it's an excellent example of today's true underground innovation - keep it small, keep it fresh and keep it interesting.

Probably one of the best mixes ever presented in this site's guest mix section. "The fun and passion I had dancing to early house in the 80's has never left me. I spend my time trying to light such fires in others. There's so much brilliant music from that period that is unknown to so many."

A long time coming, here it is - Estimulo's guest mix for deeprhythms.com. Not too long ago it was DR among other sites that influenced him to put Mixomat.de online. He really has gone a long way since the first time we heard about him. This mix also features a few cuts from Mixomat Recordings, a net label he runs with Marco Nega - great stuff.

Many of you already know Marc as regular on PSN and through his nights with Boogalu. He recently moved across the Atlantic from the UK to Detroit. This mix will surely make your heads nod and feet tap, a slightly more on the clubbier side than the usual DR sound.

We've been impressed by Michael's mixes for quite some time and are very proud to present some of his best work to date as DR guest mix 12. Loads of new and older gems in this mix.

A superb mix by Edinburgh's own Andy Grant. In his own words: "In May I'll be moving permanently to my wife's home town Washington DC from Edinburgh. Its a big move to make, and a lot of planning has been going into it. A major consideration is shipping the record collection across the Atlantic, and over the last few weeks I've been starting to pack up records into boxes, trying to decide what I can live without for the next few months, and what I need to have close at hand!

Tomasz delivers a soothing mix of lush deep house gr ooves. It's one of the most impressive mixes I've heard in a long time.In his own words: "I tend to wander off in various directions but I always come back to this music. It's not just house, for me it's home. Music that moves my body, mind and soul."

Soulful house mix from Davide Maffei. Davide is a regular in Milan's club scene and also writes for local dance magazines. Houseconnection.net project saw the light of day in 2000 - contributing to Italy's soulful house scene by providing dj mixes, party pics, and music reviews.

In Kris' words: "it was one of the days in my recordstore. i listened to new records and thought about the things happened around me. during i listened to new stuff, my threads wandered form new to old records in order to find a unique combination of deep and soulful music. one day later i started recording this mix, to let you all take part on this journey. it's a small story about to move on in life, don't stop and believe on the things you do now and in future. therefore my friends, let keep this underground vibe alive with all effort we can make. peace."

Christopher Layne lays down an excellent smooth and dreamy set of deep house, simply brilliant. In Christopher's words: "I love all house and techno music, it's that simple. Don't sit idle, watching the world pass you by. There is much to be discovered and learned. The past is your guideline to the future - but only if you make use of it. It's up to you..."

In Brad's words: "True music...no matter what genre, is a key to freedom. Anyone who understands it should embrase the blessing and spread your vibe, in hopes of providing a key to freeing others who are looking for that different level of knowledge."

In Tomislav's words: "Croatian deep house dj and producer Tomislav Badass Pasanec who is also known as Blacksoul - that's me in brief. I want to show you my deep, soulful, jazzy, funky and tech sides connected by one storyteller, always playing from heart with love - showing you that I live through my music and that's the most important important for me."
Posted June 16, 2002
In Keto's words: "An investigation of my body's low frequency response. I approached this project with the idea of making an interesting 'headphone mix' - something with enough variety to make you want to slip your headphones on and pop the CD in more than once. It tends towards micro house (thanks tyler and braden), tech house, and techno, or what they are calling 'experimental techno' these days ... I'd love to hear what you think!

In DJ Nica's words: "Can't find the words to express how you feel? Let this mix help you generate some thought and inspiration. Say something and make a difference, don't hide it because tomorrow will be too late."

In r0xNadZ's words: "The world has quickly become an ugly place in the last few months. I submit this mix as a means of perhaps taking a little over an hour or so to sit back and think about why we are where we are and, more importantly, how to start actually putting the pieces back together to restore some sense of faith and normalcy in our lives."
