The local cinema is in the middle of an Akira Kurosawa series, and I’ve been fortunate enough to see several of his masterpieces in the past weeks. My love for Kurosawa started when I first saw Seven Samurai as a teenager, and I’ve been a fan ever since. This mix is inspired by his film entitled "Dreams", a masterful anthology of short films that are at once beautiful, dark, crushing, and uplifting.
