Slightly more laid-back offering this time, 'Brown Study' is filled with calming spacious strings and deeper than deep basslines. It's also a nod towards some of the older deeprhythms mixes, mainly #20 and #29. The mix certainly is not as angular as the previous two.
All tracks are recent, but timeless. The mood is somewhat meditative, but pulsating basslines and percussion maintain the attention. As for the tracks - I just can't get enough of Uncle Abner's Blackmoon EP, it's one of the best releases to come out this year, check it out. As for labels, Drumpoet Community won me over instantly - gorgeus stuff. There also a mysterious track by Audio Alchemist, whom I've never heard of before. A little googling didn't provide any results so if you happen to know more, please share your information. It's available digitally at Juno Download at least.
