Mixed by Timo. Inpsired by a recent thread on the messageboard - is house really dead? Well, it may be struggling but hell - there are still fresh tracks and lots of innovation going on! Here's an atmospheric and moody mix, a snapshot of my current favorites and I think it represents quite well what the DR sound is about. Timewriter, Rythma, Kaskade, Hanna etc.

Kris, thanks for the kind words mate. I think this one worked out pretty well though most of the tracks were new and I really didn't know them too well.

Dirk - thanks - it is indeed one of the better ones imo too. Funny how things work out sometimes, I really wasn't too familiar with the tracks in this mix but just trusted my instinct.

Hi all. My first post here.
Last night I downloaded #29 and burned a CD. Listened to it at work this morning. Nice work David! I am so happy to have a new source for house music. At age 30, I have not kept up with it as I'd like. If anyone here is from Boston and remembers Tuesday nights at Axis in the early-mid 90s, that was my scene.
Looking forward to hearing #30 tonight.

Timo i live in london and have few record stores where i buy all my vinyl from but never came across a record store where i can get a hold of good dubby deep house! So if there is any places where u know please let me know! thanx

It is wonderful to hear a so good deep house, thanks... I live in Paris and it is very difficult to hear good house, so I often go to Belgium to hear good sounds (Food, Motion room at Fuse...), and when I hear your mixes (from you and David), I have the same good feeling.

Ah but Philip, you have so much good music in Paris! Almost every store you walk into is playing some sort of dance music. One night I listened to a non-commercial radio station playing incredible deep house, downtempo, dub reggae, and other non-commercial sounds. I listened as long as I could as I stayed in my friend's apartment because I knew I might never hear something like this again. I live in the U.S. and I was visiting France for the first time in August of this year.

What a vibe!!!!!!!!! I just wish the rst of the world would undestand the vibe that deep house brings to your soul, its relaxing, fun and deep. As we speak im downlading it and ill burn it on a cd. Im a house head from the old school at 41, learned to love disco and watched disco turn into our underground house in the 80s, now this deep vibe is off the hook. I have a 16yr old daughter and a 13 yr old son, and in this world of rap and hip hop the have aquired an ear for this deep house sound which the enjoy with me.. oh wow! I've heard Hanna's "Time", but never recognized that third track by name...I never thought I'd hear this anywhere beyond Hipp-e & Halo's fabric mix! AAAAH its all just TOO GOOD I may have to hurt myself.

This vibe is HOT!!! I have been a fan of house for quite awhile and this groove is just tight! I played this for some friends in my car on a trip and they grooved on it the entire time. KEEP BANGIN' THE BOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
